We welcome the support of alumni, donors, and friends of the program. MRADS students benefit from our strong network of supporters. We are grateful for any and all support, including donations, internship opportunities for our students, guest lectures, or simply sharing about the work we do!
Donors:
MRADS values financial contributions (i.e., Gifts) of any size. Gifts go directly toward supporting students to attend that National Conference for Undergraduate Research. Roughly 50% of our community applies and receive acceptance to this conference each year. Presenting research at a national conference, in the very first year of undergraduate research is a transformative experience. We cannot do it without our supporters. Click here to Give to MRADS
Alumni
If you are an alumni of MRADS, please take a few minutes to complete our "Alumni Connection Survey". This survey will help us to identify alumni who would like be involved in our program. We appreciate your feedback and interest in staying connected to the MRADS!
Program History
The Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars traces its origins to 1997. Originally, it was called UROP-In-Residence (UIR) and later Michigan Research Community (MRC). Today, the Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars has expanded in size, as well as in the academic and social support we offer our students. Currently, the community includes approximately 150 students from various colleges, majors, backgrounds, and locations. Check out our MRADS Snapshot to learn more about this year’s community. MRADS students benefit from residential Research Peer Facilitators, in-house study groups, and of course cutting-edge research opportunities with University of Michigan faculty. To maintain the high-quality experience for our students, MRADS relies heavily on our alumni and friends for networking and financial contributions.
