Despina Margomenou's new publication, "Technological Integration and different pathways to language learning for Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs): A view from Modern Greek," based on her fellowship with the MSU Online Language Teaching Initiative/ Less Commonly Taught and Indigenous Languages Partnership. The article explores how technology integration in the form of online task-based scenarios in synchronous and asynchronous modalities using authentic or near-authentic materials and incorporating different learning pathways and ongoing, flexible assessment, increase student engagement and afford inclusive learning experiences to novice Modern Greek learners. Dr. Margomenou is Lecturer IV of Modern Greek at the University of Michigan.
