About
Joyce has served as HSSP's Pre-Health Advisor since 2002. She works closely with the advising staff of UM's schools and colleges to provide individualized pre-health advising services to HSSP students, including career exploration, course selection, and resource referral.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Joyce received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in Social Work and Urban Community Development and her Masters from UM in Urban Planning. Before joining HSSP, she worked at the UM Medical Center, Undergraduate Admissions, the College of Engineering, the Medical School, LSA, and the Health Occupations Partners in Education Program. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys all things UM (GO BLUE!), attending jazz concerts, and traveling- she’s been to 42 states (including Hawaii and Alaska) and 6 continents.
