I am a first-generation PhD candidate in History. The themes and contexts I am interested in include modern atrocities and histories of violence, social and cultural history, memory/commemoration/remembrance of difficult histories, the role of nation-states in modern conflict, decolonial literature, and transnational historical accounts.
My dissertation research will tentatively focus on topics in postwar German history including Black German Studies, Turkish German Studies, Judaic Studies, and modern migration, xenophobia, and racism in post-national Europe.
