Doug Northrop receives the 2014 John Dewey Award.
The John Dewey Award recipients are selected each year by the College Executive Committee. The award is named in honor of the distinguished philosopher John Dewey, who began his career at the University of Michigan (1884-1894).
Honorees are recognized for modeling the full range of John Dewey’s talents: scholarly productivity, strong leadership, and engagement with and care for students. In particular, the committee considers each candidate’s long term commitment to the education of undergraduate students.
Congratulations to Doug for this well-deserved recognition!
