Sally Bjork is the photographer and digital imaging specialist for the Department of History of Art. Through cultural heritage photography, archival scanning, and advanced imaging techniques, she creates high-quality digital resources that support teaching, research, and publication. She also photographs departmental events, oversees digital imaging production, develops workflows and best practices, and trains imaging staff. Sally works closely with faculty to assess their imaging needs and provide customized support. Her professional background includes photographing papyri and museum artifacts, managing collections, and serving in curatorial roles at history and historic house museums.
Fun fact: Sally created the Ann Arbor Observer’s monthly I Spy feature and has produced it continuously since 1999.
