Students are generally given permission to enroll off the waitlist on a first-come/first-serve basis. Exceptions to this rule may be made at the discretion of the instructor. When spaces become available during the summer, student services staff issue permissions for two weeks. If the permission is not used before the expiration date, the next person on the list is issued a permission. Once classes begin, no overrides are issued without the consent of the instructor. During the drop/add period, overrides are issued for 2 business days, after which time, the next person on the list, or one chosen by the instructor, is issued an override.
