About
Yixin (Star) Song is a first-year Ph.D. student interested in East Asian Art History. His research concerns the history of Chinese landscape painting from the Song (960-1279) to the Yuan (1279-1368) dynasties. His other interests include the history of modern architecture, cross-cultural modernist paintings, and critical theories.
Star received his M.A. in Art History from Bryn Mawr College. He holds a B.A. in Art History with a minor in Cognitive Science from Carleton College. He has held curatorial and research internship positions at museum institutions in North America, Europe, and Asia, including the Museum of East Asian Art, Cologne, Hangzhou Museum, Hangzhou, Chang Dai-chien Art Museum, Chengdu, and Harvard University’s CAMLab project, Boston.
