About
Ross Lee Bernhaut specializes in the visual cultures of southern Asia, with a focus on the art and architecture of northern India between the early medieval and early modern periods. His dissertation research on the architectural and urban history of Gwalior fortress has been supported by a Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad, a Charles Lang Freer Fellowship at the National Museum of Asian Art, and a Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship. He has served as Research Associate in Asian Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and held curatorial internships at the Art Institute of Chicago and the San Diego Museum of Art.
