About
Rosa is a PhD candidate studying modern art and architecture. Her dissertation project, "We, as Clay Workers: Ceramics, Labor and Collectivity," traces three historical moments of labor organizing in ceramics through which a stretched and broadened collectivity of "clay workers" emerged. She is also a part of the 'Extractivism' and 'Marxism and Art' clusters of the Marxism Lab, and one half of the small press, Each and Every. Previous work has included archival research and writing on the artist and designer Edith Heath, explorations of the work of women in land art, and the creation of an artist-run space and residency program focused on the experimental use of ceramic waste. She holds a BFA in Ceramics from California College of the Arts (2017).
