Madeleine specializes in the history of modern art and architecture. She is writing a dissertation on postwar social housing in Peru. Her work has been supported by Rackham School of Graduate Studies, the Tinker Center, and the International Institute at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the department, she worked at a housing justice non-profit in Chicago.
