Research Interests:
Emily's dissertation project concerns Indigenous Hawaiian and Māori women’s engagement with nineteenth-century photography as an innovative tool of self-expression and anti-colonial action in the face of US and British colonialism. Other research interests include Indigenous studies, settler colonial studies, and museum studies
