Dylan specializes in the history of modern and contemporary art in the United States. Their dissertation charts the evolution of lesbian aesthetics at the end of millennium. This work has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.
