About
Doyun Kim studies early modern Spanish and Latin American art. Her research interests include the artistic exchanges between Asian and European cultures and the materiality of artistic products within transcultural contexts. Before joining Michigan as a doctoral student, she was awarded the Forsyth Visiting Graduate Student fellowship at the University of Michigan. Doyun also held a curatorial internship in the Department of the Arts of Asia at the Art Institute of Chicago. She received her B.A. in History of Art and Asian History, as well as her M.A. in History of Art, from Seoul National University.
