Nachiket Chanchani to give a series of invited talks at leading European universities
In the coming weeks, Professor Nachiket Chanchani will be giving a series of invited talks at leading European universities.
On April 18, he will give a talk entitled "The Emergence of the Himalayas as a Sacred Landscape" at the Vereniging Vrienden van het Instituut Kern, Universiteit Leiden in The Netherlands.
On May 2, he will give a talk entitled, "Crafting Devabhumi, The Land of the Gods in the World of Men," at the Institut für Orient-ind Asienwissenschaften Abteilung für Asiatische und Islamische Kunstgeschichte at the Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms Universität in Bonn in Germany.
On May 11, he will give a talk entitled, "Conservation Challenges in India and the Himalayas: Policies and Practices" at the Institut für Konservierung und Restaurierung at the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna in Austria.
