This past November saw another successful installment of Helicon’s annual exhibition. In the fall semester of each school year, the organization’s members gather submissions of visual art from students of all disciplines and curate a one-night exhibition in a residential space in Ann Arbor. Over the course of three days, students transformed a quaint Kerrytown home into a unique gallery space for the eponymous RED HHAUS (Helicon History of Art Undergraduate Society) show that took place on Friday November 30th. The organization was proud to feature a diverse collection of work comprised of various media from approximately 30 student artists. The event was open to all members of the university community and welcomed nearly 300 guests throughout the evening to enjoy the artworks set to the beat of classical and contemporary musical performances by Helicon student members. Following the success of the RED HHAUS exhibit, Helicon plans to embark on a new project for the winter semester consisting of pop-up exhibition in conjunction with their annual publication of student art and commentary on art and culture.
