This will be an online event for students thinking about applying to PhD programs in art history. Whether you're working on your application now or thinking about it for the future, we'd like to meet you virtually, tell you about our department, share information about our program and the application process.
Faculty and graduate students from the department will present basic information and tips, and be available for questions.
Among the topics we'll discuss are:
- Introduction to the graduate program in art history at the University of Michigan
- How do you know when you're ready to apply to graduate school?
- How do you prepare for a PhD in art history?
- Tips for writing an application--from personal statement to letters of recommendation
