Joan Kee Awarded Kress Foundation Grant
Joan Kee, assistant professor of history of art, was recently awarded a Kress Foundation grant in support of a conference she is co-organizing at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence in November 2012 on the subject of scale. The grant will help subsidize the cost of Michigan participation in the conference, including that of student attendance in connection with a seminar Kee is teaching during fall 2012 with School of Art & Design professor Lily Cox-Richard.
About the Kress Foundation grant program: Through its grant programs, the Kress Foundation supports scholarly projects that promote the appreciation, interpretation, preservation, study and teaching of European art from antiquity to the early nineteenth century. These areas are also supported through our fellowships. These competitive grants are awarded to institutions only.
