The Department

The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology was founded in 2001 after reorganization of the biological sciences in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. In 2011, EEB, the Herbarium and the Museum of Zoology merged in order to enhance our broad strengths in evolutionary biology by further integrating the programs.
