Naomi Andre has been very busy this month. Not only did she present a powerful lecture for UM's Black History Month's Opening Ceremony, she has just created history of her own by participating in the following incredible event.

On Friday, February 4th, she testified before the House Judiciary committee (and the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties) in support of House Resolution 301 -- supporting the adoption of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" as a national hymn (not conflicting with our national anthem). This was introduced by Representative James Clyburn.
