“Majoring in international studies enabled me to take a wide range of courses to really explore intellectually, which catalyzed my interest in the intersection of people and culture, economics, policy, psychology, and social change. This freedom and autonomy motivated me to write a senior thesis, connecting these topics and contributing to research in the field of organizational adoption of technology. Even more though, pursuing this major shaped me into a systems thinker, which was invaluable and is an approach to thinking about our world that I use every day. The PICS community (professors, students, etc.) were incredibly accommodating with my UM athletic commitments too, which I greatly appreciated.”
