“My International Studies major prepared me to understand the key factors of ethical and sustainable development work and positioned me to be a recipient of the Princeton in Latin America fellowship, which brought me to my current job. I'm currently working for The Women's Justice Initiative, an NGO in rural Guatemala that educates and empowers indigenous Maya women to exercise their rights and increases their access to legal services. The work I do is ethical and sustainable because it is designed with a community-based approach that centers local women and develops their leadership skills so they can become mentors and educators for their communities.”
