“After graduating from the University of Michigan, I pursued graduate studies at the University of California San Diego. My research took me deep into the Amazon, and my thesis deals with questions of social organization of a secluded Christian community. Ultimately, I explored questions regarding domestic drug policy, which is essentially a human rights issue if one takes into account the levels and patters of incarceration, violence associated with the war on drugs, etc. Currently I am working at the University of California San Diego as Graduate Student Instructor Coordinator.
The Program in International and Comparative Studies taught me to appreciate the complexity of the various aspects that together define the human condition. It introduced me to a cohort of diverse and admirable individuals who not only wish to understand the world around them, but who also strive to influence it in a positive, lasting manner. The global focus of the Program amplified my curiosity for the world, gave me the tools to try and understand it, and made me eager to go “out there” and experience it. So I created Pegasus Motorcycle Tours & Consulting - a service provider with a global focus and clientele enabling my clients and me to do precisely that. At Pegasus Motorcycle Tours & Consulting (our first two clients left for Mongolia this summer), we produce adventures and odysseys, and the University of Michigan Program in International and Comparative Studies gave me the tools to make that possible.”
