LRCCS Summer Language Fellowship provides funding to current U-M graduate students to encourage the study of Chinese languages in an intensive summer program in a context of an overall academic program of area studies, international studies or international aspects of professional studies.
Note: U-M undergraduate students interested in summer intensive study of Chinese language (Mandarin) should apply for the LRCCS Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarship.
Summer intensive language programs must teach the equivalent of one full academic year (two semesters) of language. Language programs must meet the minimum length requirement of 6 weeks and minimum classroom contact hours of language instruction of at least 140 hours for beginning and intermediate level programs and at least 120 hours for advanced level programs.
