Marion Awino

Marion Awino is a dedicated scholar whose research focuses on Sociolinguistics in education i.e. how language, literacy and culture affects education in Sub Saharan Africa. As a Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant at U-M for the 2023-2024 academic year, Marion refined her skills in literary criticism and analysis, enriching her understanding of language education and cultural dynamics. With a passion for improving educational opportunities, Marion aspires to collaborate with NGOs like the United Nations to enhance the quality of education across Africa.
