The NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science, is on a ten-year mission to scan the sky with the largest telescope in history. The Rubin Observatory will allow researchers to scan the entire visible sky, using a 3200-megapixel camera the size of a small car—the largest digital camera ever built.
We will also be featuring live Q&A with researchers from the U-M Department of Astronomy.
