Brendan (he/him)
Hi!! My name's Brendan and I'm a sophomore majoring in English and American Culture. I love faded leather jackets, drinking too much caffeine and feeling way too anxious afterwards, and spending time with my friends at any kind of body of water (shout out Lake Michigan!). I'm happy to help with any kind of writing, but my personal strengths and interests lie in literature reviews, literature analysis, personal essays, opinion pieces, creative writing, and poetry. My favorite poets are Ocean Vuong and Richard Siken :)

Hi! My name is Charles, and I’m a junior from Summit, New Jersey, majoring in History. My academic interests focus on petroleum politics and legal histories, and I have extensive experience in publishing and long-form essay writing within the humanities. I can help at any stage of the writing process. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling, skiing, and watching college football.

Hi! My name is Christian, and I am a sophomore majoring in Political Science and minoring in Creative Writing. Besides reading spoken word poetry for Black student orgs on campus and spending way too much time at the arb, building community as a writer has been one of my biggest beliefs. I am happy to consult anything, and am most familiar with creative writing prose/poetry. I can also handle analytical works, be it social sciences or otherwise!

Hi! My name is Delcene (Del-seen) and I am a sophomore double majoring in FTVM (Film, Television, and digital media) and Human Origins and Behavior. I've lived a lot of places, but am most recently from Evanston, IL. I'm a big fan of drawing, making spotify playlists, being involved in theatre, and doing free form creative writing. I'm well-versed in literary analysis, personal essays, scripts, and ethnographies, but I'm happy to help with any of your writing needs!

Hi! My name is Elise (ee-lease) and I am a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in business. I don't think I have ever written a paper without talking out my ideas with a peer first and I think there is such value in utilizing conversation as a part of the writing process. I am an avid supporter of a chatoic and messy first draft so feel free to come with your writing as messy as possible. When I am not working or studying I love running, playing spikeball, going surfing, or swimming and hitting the sauna after at the NCRB.

Haley (she/her)
Hi, I'm Haley (hay-lee). I am a senior studying English and Political Science and minoring in Environmental Studies. I have a particular passion for creative writing, poetry, and literary analysis, but have substantial experience with lab reports. I am especially interested in work that deals with emotionality, and I'm happy to connect with writing on both an emotional and intellectual level. When I'm not writing, I love being in nature, going to local concerts, and painting.

Hi, I'm Jacqueline! I’m a sophomore studying Creative Writing and Literature. I’m also a writer for the Gargoyle Humor Magazine. I enjoy reading, crocheting, and binge watching sitcoms. I’m most excited to consult on creative writing and analytical work. My favorite part of consulting is helping writers articulate their ideas in the best way possible.

Hi, I am Jeny! I am a junior studying English and Secondary Education with a minor in Latina/o Studies. I am most familiar with working with creative writing, personal essays, and writing in the humanities (especially anything English-related)! In my free time, I like to dance, read webcomics, binge-watch shows/animations, and obsess over my silly dog.

Hello, my name is Josephine and I am a junior studying Public Policy. Majority of my expertise is in social science and creative writing, particularly multimodal or narrative based. However, I am willing to help in any way I can! I also enjoy discussing topics across the Black diaspora such as African American history, Caribbean culture, and more. In my free time, I like to sing, dance, watch tv, and learn other languages such as Spanish and Garifuna.

Hi, my name is Juliana, and I am a junior double majoring in BCN (Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience) and Cognitive Science. I am most familiar with academic writing in the humanities/social sciences and analytical writing, but I'm happy to work with any genre. I love helping people talk through their thought processes/brainstorm, especially if it goes into the realm of philosophy, human nature, and literary analysis. I am happy to consult in English or Spanish, and in my free time, I draw, watch videogame playthroughs on Youtube, and do ballroom dance!

Hi! My name is Maia, and I am studying Fine Arts and English! While I am the most experienced with creative projects, especially in the visual art world, I am happy and confident to help out with any kind of writing. I love making mind-maps when outlining my writing, so if you are a visual learner I totally get you. In my free time, I enjoy shopping with my friends, cooking/baking, and listening to music!

Hi, my name is Naaji (Nah-g) and I am a senior studying Public Health. Besides writing, I love to read, discover new music, and find new TV shows/movies to binge-watch. My consulting interests include any type of applications (grad school or cross-transfer, you name it!) or science/social science-based writing. But of course, I am always happy and excited to help with all types of writing!

Hi, I’m Nadia and I’m a senior double majoring in Anthropology and Film, Television, and Media. I have always believed that talking about your writing is super helpful, no matter your skill-level or where you are in the writing process. I am most familiar with humanities writing and specifically enjoy consulting on analystical essays, narrative pieces, and research papers, but feel free to bring in any genre of writing! Besides writing, I love movies, bagels, the muppets, and swimming.

Hello! My name is Quinne and I'm a sophomore majoring in English with a minor in Gender & Health! Some fun facts about me are that I love listening to music while I'm working and my favorite movies are from Studio Ghibli. I love reading and books which is a large reason why I'm majoring in English. With this in mind, my consulting strengths are with literary analysis, close readings, argumentative writing, personal essays, and creative writing! I love discussing feminist ideal and topics of intersectionality if you need a good brainstorm in these areas.

Hello, my name is Sagan (SAY-gn)! I'm a senior studying Political Science and Cognitive Science (Language & Cognition) with minors in English and Linguistics! While I will happily help consult with any type of writing, I am most acquainted with persuasive writing, literary analysis, speeches, and writing for social science (e.g. political science) classes. Some of my main interests/hobbies include getting way too into watching jeopardy, hanging out with my friends, picking color-coordinated outfits, and screaming along to Fall Out Boy lyrics. Aside from theatre, I am incredibly interested in writing, linguistics, and education. Outside consulting, I enjoy trivia, spending time outdoors, thrifting more clothes than my closet can fit, and reading until my eyes hurt.

Hi! My name is Sofia, and I am a sophomore double majoring in English and Environmental Science. I'm excited to consult on all kinds of writing, though I am most experienced with argumentative writing and literary analysis, and I love reading creative writing and anything from classes that are interesting in really niche and unique ways (for example, I am currently taking a class that is all about misogyny in medieval literature). As an Environmental Science student, I also have some good resources for writing resumes and cover letters especially for STEM-based opportunities, and I am happy to help you at any stage of your writing process! Outside of consulting, I love to read, make posters on Photoshop, collect CDs, hike, and listen to music (if you have any recommendations please let me know, I love almost all genres).

Hello ! I'm Sophie and I am a junior majoring in English and Sociology. I am most comfortable consulting literary analysis, argumentative essays, and humanities/social science research papers. However, I am excited to work with anyone who wants their writing consulted, so bring in those discipline-specific papers and we can learn from each other! I am currently working on senior thesis about refugee literature and post-colonialism, so I'd be stoked to consult anything pertaining to that field of study. When not consulting, I rack up my screen-time on the New York Times Games app, try to cook complicated meals (they usually come out mediocre), and read as much as my schedule allows.

Vikki (she/her)
Hi! I'm Vasiliki (vah-see-lee-kee) but I go by Vikki for short. I am a junior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience and Modern Greek with a minor in Writing. I love passing time with my family and friends, singing carpool karaoke, I love traveling (airports are probably my favorite places), cooking, discovering new coffee shops and excercising (especially if it's outside). I especially love writing poetry and narratives, and aimlessly filling up my journal with some brain-dumps. Greek is my second language, so if there's anything you need feedback on in Modern Greek, I'm your go-to! Regardless what genre, prompt or stage in the writing process you bring in, I am excited to dive in and collaborate with you on your writing journey!

Hi! I'm Yassin and I am a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering. I love working on all kinds of writing, especially research papers for STEM classes, resumes, and narratives. Outside of consulting, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and reading a book or two when I can. I also speak Arabic, so if you ever feel that you would be more comfortable working in Arabic, I would be more than happy to!
