About
Mostafa is a PhD student in comparative politics. His research focuses on the politics of the Middle East and North Africa and Muslim-majority states with a particular interest in political violence, political Islam and religious institutions. His current research looks at the relationship between religious institutions and public perceptions of political violence and the role of local religious institutions in shaping political Islam. He's also interested in using computational text analysis and spatial statistics to study these topics.
