About
I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. I study bureaucracies, the presidency, and state politics. My dissertation uses state payroll data to examine turnover and politicization in state agencies.
Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, I graduated from George Washington University in 2017 with degrees in philosophy and political science. After college, I was a research assistant at the Urban Institute, where I studied states’ TANF policies and worked on the TRIM3 microsimulation model.
When I am not working, I enjoy running, biking, and cross-country skiing.
