Translation has always been an integral part of knowledge acquisition, cultural exchange, and language learning. In addition to LRC initiatives, you can find translation in many places on campus. both inside and outside the classroom.
Want translation as a skill on your transcript? There are courses in translation in several departments and the Department of Comparative Literature offers a Translation major (newly starting in Fall 2025!), a Translation Studies minor, and a graduate certificate in Critical Translation Studies.
