LRC Language Bank

What is the Language Bank?

The Language Bank is a free service that serves the needs of non-profit organizations, social justice efforts, and the local community.  We focus on addressing translation needs for these groups and in doing so, offer our volunteers the opportunity to engage with and further serve the community.

How does the Language Bank work?

Clients submit a description of a translation project, along with the language(s) and date(s) needed. Our Language Bank Coordinator will then sort through the database to offer the job to volunteer translators who meet the criteria for the translation. There is no cost for this service; it is provided on a voluntary basis. Our volunteer database is made up of students, faculty, community members, and more who applied to join the Language Bank and serve the local community with their language skills.

If your project does not fit within the scope of our service:

If you have a high-stakes translation, need a certified translation, or have a tight deadline, please consider hiring a professional.
