About
Laura Fletchersen joined the LRC in 2023 after completing her Master's degree in Information Science and Graduate Certificate in Classical Reception Studies at the University of Michigan. She has a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, Classics, and History from Vanderbilt University.
For three years, Laura worked as a middle and high school Latin teacher. During this time, she became involved with other Latin educators advocating for the use of texts written by women in the Latin classroom. This project inspired her to work more hands-on with the management of educational materials. Laura strives to bring this focus on serving historically excluded communities to her work at the LRC.
As the Information Specialist at the LRC, Laura manages the center's collections and operations, helps organize events, and liaises with faculty regarding their language resource needs.
