Administrative Coordinator
About
Barbara Frecka is the Administrative Coordinator in the Honors Program. She provides oversight for Honors financial accounts, manages course set up, waitlists, and overrides for Honors Core courses, coordinates faculty, GSI, and student hiring, processes student grants, awards, scholarships, and graduation prizes, and supports development and communications functions.
Barb graduated from the University of Michigan, where she studied Russian Language and Literature. She worked in New York City and Chicago as a Russian and Polish translator for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She lived in Ohio for 18 years before happily returning to Ann Arbor.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting Lake Michigan, reading, languages, music, gardening, and taking walks on campus.
