About
Lydia Morris Fettig (she, her, hers) spent her early life in coastal Connecticut and upstate New York before migrating west to complete her undergraduate work in social science at Reed College and Portland State University. After returning to the East Coast to complete an MFA in creative writing at American University, Lydia got married, rescued several animals, raised three children, and completed a short stint as a parole and probation agent for the state of Maryland. For the last 25 years, Lydia has been advising students and teaching academic writing courses with interdisciplinary themes that include animals, deviance, and conceptions of self and other. Her short fiction has been published by Rude Girl Press and within Gargoyle Magazine and Abundant Grace. In her spare time, Lydia enjoys napping with her pets, walking with neighbors, dining out with friends, watching movies with her teenagers, and traveling with her husband.
