Dear LSA Community,

The winter solstice is around the corner, as is the end of the semester here in Ann Arbor. It has been a year of expected and unexpected challenges. And at every step along the way, your care and dedication to LSA’s mission, to our students, and to the well-being of our community have been inspiring. I have been grateful for the time together with many of you this fall, as we returned to campus for a residential semester. Thank you for sharing your talents and energies with the college all year long.

It has become a tradition to include a small linguistic gift as part of my holiday video message, and I hope you will enjoy this year’s timely tip. I wish all of you a holiday season filled with friends and family, laughter, peace, and moments of joy. And may you have a positive, purposeful new year.
