Social Interaction and Racialization in the Southern Andes

A mock job talk by Margarita Huayhua.

Huayhua's presentation will examine how in everyday relationships racialization is displayed habitually and taken-for-granted in the southern Andes. Racialization can be created and re-created through intertwined signs, such as language, gestures, body positioning, and spatial distribution among other signs. The talk will explore the myriad ways of boundary making in everyday life.
