Arts and Culture Network

The Brazil Initiative fosters collaborations in the performing arts, literature, and cinema between the University of Michigan, University Musical Society, and our Brazilian partners to educate U-M students and faculty about Brazil’s rich history and celebrate Brazilian culture.

An integral part of this collaboration is the educational seminars, K-12 teacher workshops, roundtable discussions, and other public events organized around performances by renowned Brazilian artists. These educational opportunities, and of course the performances themselves, enrich the educational and cultural life of the area and the state.
