Zekkie McCormick

Zekkie's undergraduate's work focused on philosophical and artistic movements advocating for radical liberalistic idealism, especially non-Western interpretations.

Zekkie was a member of the Johns Hopkins Collaboratory in 2023, researching Takahashi Shinkichi's Dadaist and Buddhist poetry. In 2024 they moved to Japan for a year and attended Tottori University for language courses and shamisen training.

Zekkie is now researching The Kyoto School of Philosophy and Japanese artistic counter-cultural movements like the Mavoists, Butoh dancers, and the poetry publication Aka to Kuro.
