Shelby Dennhardt

Shelby is a communication graduate from the University of Dayton and an Air Force veteran with a strong interest in African politics and history. He's joining the MIRS program with an African studies specialization, focusing his research on post-apartheid South Africa — particularly land restitution, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and identity within the Cape Coloured community of the Western Cape. Outside of academics, he enjoys exploring new foods and cuisines, meeting new people and sharing conversations.
