About
Raquel Ramos Buckley, along with the communications team, supports the institute and its 16 centers and programs by working closely with program specialists and directors in carrying out communications, marketing, and promotional efforts for a wide range of activities across the institute.
Raquel holds a master’s degree in educational studies from the University of Michigan School of Education, with a focus on new media and new literacies (now called designing for innovation). She also earned a bachelor’s degree in applied statistics from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and a certificate in digital media arts and design from Orange Coast College in California, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Her work has appeared in a variety of print and digital publications, one of which—Cyber Ink: It’s Permanent—received a CASE District VI Silver Award for Issues Management. She is also an Adobe Certified Professional in Print & Digital Media Publication Using Adobe InDesign (2023–2026). In addition, she has collaborated with educators to develop instructional materials in informal learning settings, including promotional course content, websites, and informational literature.

Issued by Adobe, it requires in-depth knowledge of setting project requirements, understanding the interface, and creating print and digital media publications using Adobe InDesign CC.
