About
Maximilian Hauffe is a MIRS-Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies/Masters in Public Policy dual degree student with an interest in international security. He pursued this interest through the Alexander Hamilton Society, where he participated in weekly discussions on foreign policy and wrote for the Hamiltonian Statecraft journal. Maximilian is especially interested in Russia and Eastern Europe due to his Slavic heritage and focused on security issues in these regions as a policy intern with the US Global Leadership Coalition. He intends to continue his participation in this field at the University of Michigan, which he hopes will increase his understanding of international relations and equip him with the necessary skills to work in the Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.
