South Asia Communications Representative, Center for South Asian Studies
About
Jayeeta Chowdhury-Woodstrup is the communications representative for the Center for South Asian Studies (CSAS). Born and educated in India and the U.S., she brings a transnational perspective to her work at the intersection of South Asian studies, higher education, and public engagement.
A scholar-practitioner, Jayeeta is especially interested in stories where scholarship, culture, and lived experience intersect: This includes how the region shapes – and is shaped by – ideas of identity, geopolitics, memory and migration, language, and belonging. Her work examines how institutions shape opportunity and how individuals navigate systems of power, community, and knowledge production. At CSAS, she is focused on sharing stories of scholars, students, artists, and community partners and is interested in connecting academic scholarship and broader public audiences.
