About
Basma is an experienced higher education administrator specializing in academic program management and community engagement. She is dedicated to fostering inclusive academic environments through effective cross-cultural communication. Basma brings extensive experience in event management and planning, having successfully organized and led workshops, academic programs, and events that promote collaboration and address the evolving needs of students. She previously served as an administrative assistant at the Weiser Diplomacy Center at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Before joining U-M, Basma was a fellow-in-residence at the Center for Interreligious and Intercommunal Leadership at Hebrew College and the Andover Newton Theological School in Boston, Massachusetts. She holds a BA and MA in Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures from Cairo, Egypt.
