Fellowships & Grants Advisor; FLAS Coordinator
About
Dan Cameron's background in education and global studies has led him to the International Institute as one of the Fellowships & Grants Advisors, focusing on advising students pursuing FLAS Fellowships (along with assisting on other federal and U-M fellowships and grants). He has lived in China, Germany, and Scotland, and has had the good fortune to travel to over twenty-five countries (and counting). He originally began working at the International Institute in 2016 with Title VI projects and advising students pursuing the Summer in South Asia (SiSA) Fellowship through Center for South Asian Studies. He has also worked as a study abroad advisor, international student services coordinator, ELL tutor, English teacher (at home and in China), and preschool teacher. Dan is passionate about working with students pursuing opportunities abroad, hoping they get as much out of their international experiences as he has. An avid sports fan, Dan supports Germany in soccer, Scotland in rugby, and the University of Michigan in football and basketball.
