About
Bryna Worner is the Undergraduate Coordinator at the University of Michigan's International Institute, where she coordinates the Institute’s undergraduate academic programs and advises current and prospective students pursuing majors and minors in International Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Middle Eastern and North African Studies, Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies, and Islamic Studies. In her role, she supports students throughout their academic journeys by helping them identify their interests, navigate program requirements, and work toward their academic and professional goals. Bryna is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan Marsal Family School of Education.
Previously, Bryna served as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor at the University of Michigan International Institute and received the LSA Excellence in Departmental Advising Award in 2023. She also previously served as the Academic Program Specialist for the Program in International and Comparative Studies and the Donia Human Rights Center, overseeing public programming, communications, student fellowships and funding, and initiatives that significantly increased student and alumni engagement. Bryna has been with the U-M International Institute since November 2015.
Before joining the University of Michigan, she held positions at Edelman in consumer public relations, The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in its global corporate affairs department, and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs in both the programs and communications departments.
Bryna earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann, Arbor, with a triple major in International Studies, Political Science, and Spanish. She also studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain.
