MIRS-African Studies Student
About
Beginning her education with a Bachelor’s in Political Science at Western Michigan University, Annissa continues her education at the University of Michigan in pursuit of a Master’s in International and Regional Studies with a specialization in African Studies. Through her previous courses and volunteer work, she has found a passion in the study of developmental and social policy in East Africa. Wanting to embody a holistic approach to understand how policies and government action contributes to the development of a country, Annissa believes economics, history, cultural, and foreign policy are a key aspect that should not be overlooked. In the future, she would like to combine her passion in developmental policy with social psychology to further this holistic view.
