Executive Assistant, International Institute
About
Anna Mayne is the executive assistant for the International Institute. She has been at the II since January 2024 as the administrative assistant senior for the Europe, Eurasia, and Africa centers, where her colleagues quickly came to rely on her strong organizational skills and steady support.
Before coming to the University of Michigan, Anna held a similar role at the U.S. Navy’s Naval Station Great Lakes, where she served as Secretary to the Commanding Officer.
She graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University (CMU) with a bachelor's degree in social work and minors in German and family studies. As an undergraduate at CMU, she received a scholarship from the Federation of German-American Clubs to study in Karlsruhe, Germany. While there, she volunteered at the state refugee reception center, leading orientation sessions for both English- and German-speaking refugees.
