Dr. Joseph Ward, Chemistry Instructional Lab Services Manager, has been named as part of the 2026 class of ASC Fellows!
The ACS Fellows Program recognizes members of the American Chemical Society for outstanding achievements in and contributions to the science and profession, as well as exemplary service to the Society. In 2026, only 59 members were named as ACS Fellows. Unlike other organizations where the designation may simply indicate senior membership, the ACS Fellow (ACSF) designation uniquely requires both exceptional professional contributions and excellent volunteer service to the ACS community.

Contribution to the Science/Profession: Recognized for excellence in laboratory management and pedagogical reform, including transformation of the undergraduate laboratory learning experience and strategic integration of Generative AI into the chemical enterprise.
Contribution to the ACS Community:
Recognized for sustained technical and fiscal leadership within the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry, including engineering of digital infrastructure to provide over one million users annually with critical chemical resources.
