Fighting Hate in Academia and Business
On Friday, February 13, Executive Committee members Jeffrey Veidlinger, Karla Goldman, and Mostafa Hussein gave a training session on fighting hate to student leaders at Ross Business School, along with panelist Juan Cole and moderator Alice Mishkin. The panel focused on “Fighting Hate in Academia and Business.”
The session addressed the historical roots and context of antisemitism and islamophobia as well as definitions, modern manifestations, myths and misconceptions of these biases. Students workshopped best practices for responding to hate when they encounter it.
