About
Hi! I’m a rising senior in the LSA Honors Program, double-majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Philosophy. I'm currently on the premedical track, with the hopes that I can continue research in ethics as a physician. I participated in the Life Sciences seminar during my first year in UROP, and continued research in the same lab as a UROP Research Scholar. I love UROP because of the guidance I received in choosing the perfect lab for me, and the informational seminars that granted me a larger look at the research community. In my first year as a UROP student, I joined an ophthalmology laboratory to study how photoreceptors respond to stress, in an effort to find the signaling pathways that could someday help treat various diseases of the retina. In the realm of philosophy, I have a special interest in ethics and metaphysics (and I’m always up for insightful discussions on the topic!).
I am involved in a few different student organizations on campus, including the American Medical Student Association, Society of Deontology, Recreational Tennis Club, and Pre-Surgical Club. I’m also working as an SLC Course Leader for Chemistry 210! In my free time, I enjoy drawing, reading, going to museums, and tending to my houseplants. If the weather and location permit, I love playing tennis, walking my dog, skiing, hiking, and running. I love traveling to Poland to visit my family there, and dream of visiting Japan someday!
